Information we collect

Website form. When you submit our evaluation form, we collect your name, business or property name, email address, phone number, Michigan city, approximate daily traffic, and any information you include in your message.

Contacting us. When you email or call us, including about a payment or refund, we collect the information you provide, such as your name, contact details, machine ID or location, transaction date and time, and the last four digits of your payment card.

Host locations. When we evaluate or service a location, we may collect site contact names and details, site photos, and information needed for our placement agreement.

Vending machine purchases. Our smart coolers are provided and operated on the platform of our vending technology provider, HAHA Vending. Card and mobile wallet payments are processed by HAHA Vending's third-party payment processors. We do not receive or store your full card number. We may receive transaction records such as the date, time, machine location, items purchased, amount charged, and card type and last four digits, which we use to operate the machines, manage inventory, and resolve payment questions.

Cameras inside the cooler record video while the door is open during a purchase. This video is used to identify the products taken, calculate your charge, and review disputed or unrecognized transactions. We may view these videos to resolve a transaction or refund question. The videos are stored by HAHA Vending on its cloud service providers, which may be located outside the United States, and are kept according to HAHA Vending's data retention practices. HAHA Vending's handling of this information is also described in its own privacy policy.

Technical information. Our hosting and service providers may process basic technical information that is ordinarily transmitted when you visit a website, such as your IP address, browser or device information, referring page, and date and time of access.

How we use your information

We use information to respond to inquiries, evaluate and manage vending placements, process and review transactions, handle refunds and customer service, stock and maintain our machines, maintain business records, protect the security of our website and machines, and comply with legal obligations.

Contact form processing

Our contact form is processed through Formspree, a third-party service provider, which transmits your inquiry to us.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us operate our website, machines, and payments (such as our hosting provider, Formspree, and our payment and vending platform providers); with the host business where a machine is located, only when needed to resolve a service issue; and when required by law, legal process, or to protect our rights, property, customers, or business.

Cookies and online tracking

We do not use advertising pixels or behavioral analytics tools such as Google Analytics or Meta Pixel on this website. Our hosting or service providers may use basic cookies or similar technologies as necessary to operate and secure the website.

We do not allow third parties to collect personal information about your online activities over time and across different websites when you use our website. Because we do not engage in that kind of tracking, we do not currently respond differently to browser "Do Not Track" signals.

Data retention

We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to inquiries, manage business relationships and transactions, maintain business and tax records, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations, and then delete it.

Your choices and requests

You may contact us to review, correct, or delete personal information you have provided to us. We will respond as required by applicable law and as reasonably practicable, but we may keep transaction and business records we are required to maintain.

Children's privacy

Our website is intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through this website.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect the information we collect. Never send your full card number or security code by email. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

California visitors

This policy is intended to meet the requirements of the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA), including the disclosures above about the information we collect, who we share it with, how to request review or correction, how we respond to Do Not Track signals, and whether third parties track visitors across sites.
